WHO CAN HELP? Please help us find a loving, forever home (or foster and rescue) for this handsome young man mix we are calling Chestnut due to his gorgeous coloring before he is euthanized for space (the shelter is full and euthanizing animals once they meet legal retention). Chestnut was found loose as a stray on 10/21 but his owner has not shown up. The shelter tells us, he is 'kenneled with another dog without any concerns'. He has been able to handle and pet, although understandably came in originally scared. Chestnut's age is reported as 1 - 5 years old, he is 62 lbs of hunk, and was treated for kennel cough. We do not know his true breeds, but he may be mixed with some herding breed such as cattle dog or corgi due to his unique coloring.
