About Duke

Meet Duke! This gorgeous sweet boy is about 2.5 yrs old and weighs about 70#! He currently lives in a home with three young children under age 7 and 2 cats. Extended family has dogs and he is great with all. He is scared of horses being so big and even some big dogs not realizing his own size. Duke is crate trained and house broken. He loves kids and car rides! He is literally a great dog but he can be an escape artist. He can jump a 4' fence from a standstill if he wants. He will run through an electric fence. We feel coming from an active home with young children he probably got neither enough exercise or attention and he wasn't neutered. Duke is also quite strong and needs training on the lead and with recall! We would like to see this boy in a quieter home with folks who have more time to devote to him, his training,and who will make him a part of their daily lives! He really wants his own person and is so very smart that he needs a job. He would make a wonderful service dog as he has never met a stranger! If you are looking for a great boy out of puppyhood, then look no further! Duke is your guy!!! Of course he requires grooming so be prepared but otherwise he is a pretty easy keeper!
