SENIOR ALERT! 'You'd never guess he was a Rottweiler unless you saw his intake photo from THIRTEEN YEARS ago! Chico A415534 is a (NOW) 16 year old dog that was found this past weekend as a stray and brought to the shelter on 11/20/23, once impounded and scanned the shelter noticed he was brought in once before ALL THE WAY back in 2010. The shelter contacted the owner on Chico's microchip hoping he had a mom & dad actively searching for their beloved senior pet, only to be in disbelief when the same person that redeemed him over a decade ago denied ever owning a dog. Now in his final years, Chico sits at a shelter to possible spend his final days in #DoggyJail. NOTES: senior dog with dental calculus, thickened pinnas, hairloss and thickened skin with small amount of old crusting on LPL above stifle that appears to be a scar, golf ball sized soft mass on right side of diaphragm.' The shelter is no place for a senior like Chico. I am urgently looking for a foster or better yet an adopter for him. Would you be interested in opening your home and your heart to this boy?
