About Bear

Bear's story will absolutely break your heart and that is why we need to find him a Home for Christmas sooner versus later. Two years ago, his owner abandoned him and left him to starve in a remote area of Texas. Thankfully, a good Samaritan found him and started to feed him to gain his trust enough for them to get him off the railroad tracks. Despite everything, he has an easy-going disposition, he seems content to lay around on the porch and the veterinary hospital who has agreed to board him says he loves being brushed and having his face rubbed. He is very gentle in taking food or treats from your hand. He has now mastered walking on a leash. Is he a free spirit - yes but we need to keep him safe.
