Meet the adorable Lexie, a charming dog hailing from Texas and approximately 3 years old. Lexie's journey took a difficult turn when she was found alone and abandoned on the streets, feeling lost, confused, and scared. Thankfully, Animal Control intervened just in time, pulling her from the euthanasia list hours before the unfortunate fate. Lexie, a beautiful and sweet girl, is eager to shower you with kisses, accompany you on walks and car rides, and be your loyal Velcro companion. Despite her past experiences, she is dog-friendly, although she may assert herself if she feels threatened-a survival instinct from her time on the streets. Lexie is making progress in building trust and learning to feel secure once again. Suspected to be a golden retriever with her long, beautiful hair recently groomed, Lexie is microchipped, vaccinated, and scheduled for spaying on Jan 3, with the rescue covering the cost. She is also cat-friendly, people-friendly, and simply yearns for love and a family to call her own.
