About Teddy

Meet Teddy, a beautiful cream F1 golden doodle. Teddy came to us from a home that could not meet his needs. Teddy is a typical doodle and EXTREMELY high energy. Teddy will need a certain home to thrive in. We understand this breed is highly sought after by families based on their adorable looks but they thrive off structure and regular mental and physical stimulation. Teddy is no exception to some of these breed based behaviors. His previous family even put him through professional training but due to not implementing that training and structure daily Teddy has developed some less than ideal behaviors. Walking Teddy can be a challenge, he thinks it's a game and will redirect back on you trying to pull the leash from your hands. Teddy is extremely mouthy with his play and while he does not latch on he does nip and has to be reprimanded firmly to stop. Teddy shows this mouthy behavior when walking or playing with toys. While his current foster is working with him on this behavior we know Teddy will need an experienced home who will continue to work on this behavior with him and set him up for success. We are saying no children in the home due to this mouthiness and Teddy being extremely jumpy and unaware of his large stature. Teddy will also need a home with no small animals, he is too much for small animals and we do not feel comfortable that he wouldn't accidentally hurt them. Teddy is essentially a BIG under socialized puppy who will need proper and strict structure in his forever home to thrive. Only experienced adopters will be considered as Teddy is a very special case. We see the potential for Teddy and want nothing more than to see him thrive in a home.
