About Marv

Meet Marv !! We can't get over how adorable this guy is!! He's a handsome fun guy with a great personality. Marv is a 5 year old male beagle possibly a little Bassett hound mixed in. He weighs 30 pounds. He is full grown. He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. He is thankfully Heartworm negative and even recently had a dental cleaning done. He was Lyme positive and has been treated for it. Marv is sweet and fun. A goofy fun loving boy. He loves doing zoomies around the yard and playing with other dogs. He's spunky but also knows how to grab toys and entertain himself so he's not overly high maintenance in the energy department. He has done fantastic with all other dogs and loves to play. He will tag along with his pup friends whenever he can. He's also made friends with our other available beagle named Jax if you're looking for two new pups. We haven't seen him with cats so we are unsure how he would do. Marvs been great with kids. We don't think he lived with kids previously and he can be shy around them at first but that melts away quickly and then he loves them. We don't think Marv ever lived inside prior to coming to us but he has done fantastic with his indoor training! He's great about being crated and does wonderful on car rides. He's decent on a leash also. He's done really well with potty training and never messes in his crate. He did mark his territory a lot the first two days. Now that he's settled in he hasn't continued that behavior. Surprisingly he hasn't been very vocal so far. Hounds are usually very loud with howling and barking. He may settle in and show those traits later but currently he's not a super loud guy. He has a medium to high energy level. He loves to run and play in the yard with the other dogs but can also go grab toys and play alone. He's happy to go on outings with you and enjoy life. He would do best with a fenced yard to be able to exercise in. He loves his zoomies! He has had no issues sharing food, treats or toys with other dogs and people. He's shown no aggression at all over anything. He is truly an awesome little hound with a great personality. If you're a hound lover then this guy is your man!! Located in Hampton VA.
