Stunning Shawnee has had a rough start to life. Born around May 1, 2023, to a feral momma who moved the kittens to a yard with 2 aggressive dogs, we scooped her up at about three weeks old when her two siblings disappeared. Bottle fed and weaned by one foster, sent to another foster at 3 months old due to an unfortunate situation, she was then fully vetted (spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and tested neg for feline leukemia and FIV), put up for adoption, and adopted to a woman who kept her for 3 months before returning her due to 'sudden allergies'. This sweet girl, once outgoing and affectionate, is now in need of her forever, loving family. One who won't 'get rid' of her. One who can show her that she's worth keeping. She's still sweet, but is now also unsure of new people. She does come out of her shell quickly, and will be so worth the chance you give her. She is a gorgeous medium haired, poofy tailed beauty that has so much to give. She is good with other cats and dogs with a proper introduction, but runs from her foster momma's 5 year old active daughter. She would probably adjust well to quieter children who are willing to giver her the chance to come around on her own terms. She has never shown any aggression at all, just runs and hides from her.
