About Cora & Clive- Urgent

Mastiff / American Staffordshire Terrier
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

These two! Best Buddies! Mother and Son? CORA (#A2112397 - 7 years) and CLIVE (#A2112396 - 5 years) arrived at the East Valley Animal Shelter, Van Nuys, CA, on October 27 as 'strays', although CLIVE has a microchip that wasn't registered. One look at CORA's deformed back legs should make all wonder how she, especially, could wander very far from her home.* Yes, she manages to get around, but quite slowly. CLIVE is more active but it appears he doesn't want to leave CORA's side. Watch this reel: Have tissue handy. These two are so sweet, engaging, and treat-motivated. I think we can all agree that CORA and CLIVE have not lived their best lives. Hopefully, there is a family who could open their home and hearts to them, forevermore. Please help so they don't have to spend any more time in a cement cage and can enjoy warmth and love. That would be something to give thanks for and the best gift imaginable. The shelter has put CORA on the Orange Alert List!!! Animals appearing on the Orange Alert are not irremediably suffering but require urgent and/or extensive medical care beyond what LAAS can provide. Medical issues: left knee shows major laxity decreased range of motion in the right knee with crepitus walks plantigrade- 'dropped Hocks' excess skin around hock joints increase popliteal lymph nodes' For more information about CORA and CLIVE, contact: Lucy Ruiz, Lifesaving Liaison Los Angeles Animal Services East Valley Shelter, 14409 Vanowen St., Van Nuys, CA 91405 Cell: (213) 655-7613 Work: (818) 756-9324 E: [email protected]
