About Charlie

I have a dog that needs help finding his forever home. I just don't trust putting out a public post for him on like Facebook, he deserves to be a spoiled, loved on boy. 2 months ago, I found this very emaciated dog running around our neighborhood and was able to get him into my yard. I took him to the vet and he was not microchipped, and besides needing some serious TLC, only 45lbs, was in good shape. The vet guesses he is around 2 years old and an AmStaf, he is gorgeous and we named him Charlie. Most of the places around us were full and or not wanting to take in a bully breed, he was such a good boy and I have been training dogs since I was young so I decided to keep him with us to get him healthy. I have already gotten him all his vaccines, microchipped and neutered, he just needs to find his people. YOU NEED TO HAVE A FENCED YARD, Charlie does not do well being tied. He has loved everyone he has met, he does well with other dogs, after the initial excitement of putting on the leash and getting him settled, he walks on a leash well. He knows sit, down, belly, wait, he is completely potty trained, he sleeps in a cage at night. He is still working on some basic manners like he just can't take what he wants when he wants and counter surfing, but it is getting better. He has a bedtime of 9pm, almost like clockwork 9pm rolls around and he becomes a snoring house hippo and I have to half pick him up to get him to move to go into his bed for the night. He needs someone that can be stern with him, but still loving. Experience with the breed or intelligent and suborn dogs is definitely a plus. If you don't know what that means, he may not be for you. He just wants to cuddle, play tug and go for rides. If I could I would keep him, but with my allergies I just can't. He deserves someone that he can lay on or be laid on and give him all the loves.
