About Pepper

Pepper is a very friendly, active dog, but is also very cuddly and loves to sit in your lap and give you lots of kisses. He is fine with adults and older kids, but is probably not well suited for a home with toddlers or small children. His puppy behaviors often scare our toddler, i.e., when he barks loudly when someone approaches the house or when he tries to 'herd' our toddler with nips. Because he is sometimes quite vocal, he is probably not a good candidate for apartment living either. He needs a yard where he can get some of that puppy energy out. He plays well with other dogs and is great with our resident dog. He would do well being the only dog in the home, but would love to have another four legged 'sibling' to play with. He is fully potty trained and crate trained. He still sleeps in his crate and we don't hear anything from him from the time we put him to bed at night until we let him out in the morning. He is very intelligent and knows several commands such as 'look' and touch'. He is very treat motivated which makes him a good candidate for additional training. We have been fostering Pepper for a few months, but it is time to find him a forever home with a family that he can love and will give him the love and security that he deserves.
