About Cricket

Looking for the right home for this sweet gal! Cricket is a spunky and charming Australian Cattle Dog + Border Collie mix. Don't let the colors fool you, this gal is all cattle dog! This little girl didn't have the best start in life. Cricket was brought up to Seattle from a California shelter. At 1yr old, Cricket was adopted by a lovely senior who quickly realized Cricket needed more. Since June 2023, Cricket has been living with a foster family where she quickly fell into the role of little sister to the resident border collie. It took no time for Cricket to come out of her shell to be the athletic, jubilant pup that she is. Cricket loves meeting all the dogs at the dog park. Cricket has learned to swim and is starting to play fetch. Cricket is good with cats. She has not been exposed to any barnyard animals. She has the herding instinct, but I don't see much prey drive. Cricket would do best in a home with more than one person to love, lots of activity to keep her brain busy, and a fenced yard to run around. Cricket would be an excellent agility dog or enthusiastic hiking buddy. She would do great in a home with other dogs but not required. As with most herding breeds, Cricket is not an apartment dog nor one to be kenneled all day.
