About Emerson

Emerson is a year and a half lab, Staffordshire terrier, pit bull mix. Overall, he's incredibly sweet and trainable. He loves strangers and most dogs. He has a lot of energy and is very smart, so a home that can give him plenty of exercise and activities to work his brain is a must. He would make a great sporting/activity dog. He loves to hike and swim. He is also a strong willed dog, so a home with consistency and strong boundaries is necessary. He's completely potty trained, was neutered at 14 months, and is up-to-date on shots. He knows sit, down, wait, paw, speak, and has practice with various other commands. Although day-to-day Emerson is good with kids, he shouldn't be in a home with young children due to very occasional unpredictable behavior. I am happy to elaborate more on the issues that lead us to believe he's not safe to live with young children to who ever is interested.
