About Achilles

Achilles is our long term resident. We had given up on finding him the perfect fit but we are keeping this ad open in case that perfect person sees his post. Achilles is probably the sweetest goofiest dog we've come across,so gentle living and genuinely a good boy. It would seem easy to find him a home but it has not been due to his one issue. He has severe separation anxiety. He has come a long way and off all medications but this can be possible due to always being with someone in our rescue. Things that trigger his anxiety are change in routine,he's also fearful of storms. We feel the best human for him would be someone who would like to make him their Emotional support animal. Someone who is retired or on disability and can be with him all the time. He's easy to take a long anywhere as well as he lives the car and all people he meets. He's a big ham! And will roll on the floor and smile for some attention. Given the right fit Achilles can give back a loyalty that will surpass what you know. His energy is very grounded which will give his human a sense of deep security. He does not do well in a crate and although submissive he can bust out of a crate effortlessly like superman.
