About Leo

LEO BIO Are you ready for a bundle of floofy love in your life? Meet Leo, a teenage 'bernie-doodle,' with a heart full of devotion and a mischievous twinkle in his black-rimmed eyes. Leo is a 15-month-old neutered male, 55 lbs., up-to-date on all veterinary care and vaccinations. His mix is �%BD poodle, �%BC Aussie, �%BC Bernese Mt. Dog. He has a thick, loosely curly coat that needs regular grooming at home, plus professional grooming every 6-8 weeks. Leo is house trained, mostly crate trained, and has lots of obedience training under his belt, including heeling, come when called, settle/down-stay, polite greetings, and door manners. He's active at times, but not hyperactive, and settles down well for hours at a time. Leo travels well in the car, loves his walks rain or shine, and enjoys playing with other big dogs at the dog park. He wasn't well socialized early on, so he can be skittish, sometimes barky around unfamiliar people (more with men & children). He has never shown aggression though. He just ducks and skitters away if they try to pet him. His ideal home can have children sixteen on up or no kids and a work from home family or adoptive couple et cetera, he does show some separation distress when left alone for very long. Challenges that need further training: Leo is adept at 'stealing' his human's personal items (clothing, mail, remotes, phones) and then chews or shreds them. He also needs continued training for his playful, attention-seeking mouthing and nipping of his owner's arms.
