Please note that because all of our dogs live in foster homes, we are unable to set up meetings with a dog unless we have a completed adoption application on file. Adoptions must be about an hour of Wilmington, DE in order for our volunteers to be able to conduct an in person home visit. Meet Cora! Cora is a 9-year-old Jack Russell Terrier mix that was found as a stray and brought to a shelter. She was covered in fleas, missing fur, had a mammary tumor, and needed a dental. Someone had let this poor pup down, but we were determined to turn it around. Cora received vaccinations, a dental, and had her mammary tumor removed. Fortunately, it was benign! Her fur is growing back in and she put on some much needed weight. Cora has good vision and hearing and is fully potty trained. She gets along fine with other dogs and has no trouble with stairs. Cora's foster mama says she has springs for legs. Be warned, she can hop over low baby gates and investigate your kitchen counters! Cora loves to run and enjoys her walks. She also LOVES her people and always wants to be in someone's lap. Cora is looking for her forever home and hopes it can be with you! Please apply today.
