About Lucia

Lucia is a 48 pound border collie / Australian cattle dog mix. She is high-energy and prone to anxiety/nervousness due to unstable living conditions over her last 2 years. She does really well off-leash, as her herding instincts make her not want to be too far from her people. She is very sweet natured, but has a tendency to resource guard toys from other dogs, when there are multiple dogs around. She tends to be aloof towards other dogs, but has had some success via daycare interacting healthily with other dogs. She does best when living in a house with a yard. Apartments are not suitable for her. The random noises and inconsistencies associated with apartment life have proven to be incompatible with Lucia. Her favorite activities include fetch, off-leash exploring, swimming (while fetching), scent-games, hiding treats, snuffle mats, and she loves frozen yogurt (in moderation).
