About Shadow

This is Shadow my first indoor cat that I grew up with. I have had her since day 1 & she's been with me since elementary through college. She developed seizures this past year, not sure if it's due to age or stress from the changes in her life (family moving out, our other cat whom she was bonded to passing to cancer, etc) She is now 14 years old but still seems happy and healthy despite the seizures. However, I am currently facing some hardships and am unable to care for Shadow for much longer. My mom was diagnosed with heart failure this past summer and I am unable to balance the financials for both my mom's and shadow's care. My mom also has had me rehome our other pets to family members because she can't handle the allergies as they are more severe with her chronic condition. Shadow needs extra care so I am finding difficulties rehoming her. It has been very difficult with Shadow and my mother's condition and but I do not want to euthanize her. She does act feral with strangers and new environments but I'm positive that will change with time and patience. She loves sleeping on her human's legs while they are in bed or lounging on the cat. She is still pretty playful at her age. Every cat that has been in our home she has eventually gotten close to with time. She acts very motherly to other cats, will groom and sleep with them. She has gotten along with every female cat and males varies on their personality. Feel free to reach out with any questions you may have!
