About Dapper Hank

Great Dane / Lab
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Hank was actually labeled as 'Dapper Dan' when he was saved from euthanasia at a NC shelter last year where he was very ill from kennel cough and emaciated. His foster mom nursed him back to health and he has flourished in the environment with kids and other social dogs (however he does best with just one other dog, one-on-one). Here's what she has to say about Hank: 'Hank is gorgeous, smart, and really cuddly! Since he arrived, he went from being underweight and sickly and has since blossomed into a healthy and energetic lapdog. He knows his basic, commands - sit, lie down, leave it, and walks really well on the leash. Hank loves his crate and is crate-trained (although he would prefer to spend the night in the bed with his person!). He's definitely a goofball and loves to have his very own doggy blanket. He wears it like a hood while napping and dreaming of the next game of fetch! Hank really loves being around his people and wants nothing more than to be sitting on your lap as often as possible!' Hank will do best either as an only dog, or with one other companion dog in the home of similar size and temperament/energy level (his foster mom recommends no cats or a very small dogs as he seems to be overly curious/interested in them). At apx 3 y/o and 80 lbs, Hank is an excellent addition to any family, especially ones that really enjoy the larger/taller breeds! So, if you or someone you know are interested in Dapper Hank.
