About Betty

SWEET BETTY'S Christmas wish is to find her very own family�%9D%A4��%8F. MEET BETTY! I just celebrated my first birthday, all 60 lbs of me! I'm a lab mix with a clean bill of health (spayed, heartworm negative, no tick borne diseases, and am current on all appropriate vaccines and preventatives). I'm told I have the prettiest, brightest, and shiniest eyes you've ever seen. They complement my outgoing and loving personality. I'm no longer a little puppy but I still enjoy toys of all sorts, especially stuffed ones! I like to toss them up and catch them again! I can be a teensy bit shy at first, but I warm up quickly and LOVE ear scratches, back rubs, and belly rubs. I also like to nap and to cuddle with my people. I'm currently learning important new skills like to sit and to wait, and not to jump up on humans when I'm super excited. I also am learning 'touch' (a foundational exercise in which I touch the human's hand on command with my nose and get a treat, which is really cool). I have learned to use the doggy door by watching my five canine foster siblings. Did I mention that I love, love, love other dogs? I also like older children, but am probably a little too exuberant right now for wee ones. My foster parents are working with me on crate training and potty training and they say I am coming along fabulously. I cannot wait to meet you!
