About SAGE

I am desperately seeking a very loving home for my cat Sage. She is a sweet and affectionate kitty who loves being with her person. Sage gets along well with dogs, having been raised with several. She doesn't want to be pestered, but doesn't mind lying around with them. She does, however, need to be an only cat, or to at least have her own space. She doesn't dislike other cats, but recently she has decided that she doesn't want to share the litter box with another cat. I suspect this is because one of her cat siblings frequently would lurk and attack her just as she was coming out of the box. I've been putting out potty pads with limited success. She actually goes to them every time she needs to potty, but because she wants to scratch like she would in a litter box, she's only moderately successful. I don't really have a place to close off for her, and I'm really stressed trying to figure out what to do. I certainly don't want to have her put to sleep, as some might suggest!! Sage would be such a wonderful companion for someone who lives alone. She doesn't have any tendency at all toward any naughty cat behaviors. She basically just enjoys lying around, especially if she can cuddle next to her human. She does like playing with wand toys, and gets really excited about a kitty laser. She's really an indoor cat, but on rare occasions, when the weather is nice, she has enjoyed a short trip to the backyard. Sage has been spayed and is current on her shots.
