About Teddy

Siberian Husky
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

Meet Teddy! This beautiful 1-%BD year-old male Husky would love to be part of an active, outdoorsy family! If you enjoy hiking, camping, running, kayaking, biking, or similar activities, Teddy will be first in line to go and will even carry his own backpack. Strangers? Teddy never met one! He is an endearing goofball who loves all people. Though irresistible, not everyone is cut out to have a working dog. Teddy needs a family who can provide healthy and positive outlets to use the physical and mental gifts he was bred for. Teddy is still puppy-ish in some ways, mainly with chewing things he shouldn't. For this reason he must use a crate to sleep at night and when home alone. He can't be trusted yet! Teddy has attended puppy classes, but his adopter is required to train with him to start things off in the right direction. He really needs a leader to give him direction, set expectations, and provide a daily routine with exercise. His adopter must have previous experience with working dogs, but at the same time appreciate Teddy as an individual. We'd love Teddy to live with another playful and active dog after meet and greets assure compatibility, but cats and small dogs need not apply! Teddy has a high prey drive toward squirrels, rabbits, and birds. His nemesis is a woodchuck that lives on the shelter's premises. Finally, Teddy is neutered and up-to-date on veterinary care. He did great on a recent behavior assessment. Please note: Children ages 7+ preferred. Sorry, no apartments. With your help, things can change for this beautiful Husky. Please share with all your friends, family members, co-workers, and neighbors. Someone is out there for Teddy!
