MEET BENNY! Dogs don't get much sweeter than Benny, who has lived many lives in a few short years. He was brought to a crowded California shelter as a stray, and had to endure days not knowing where he was, or why he was there. The shelter soon discovered he was blind (and thus, likely discarded). His eyes are deformed but don't seem to bother him, and he gets around both indoors and outdoors just fine, once he knows his surroundings. He's a total lap dog - and he loves to snuggle. He gets along great with other dogs. And he's only 4 years old! We don't know what the future holds for his eyes - some vet in the far distant future may want to remove them, but our vet thought it best to not put him through that, as his vitals were a bit up and down during his neuter. Despite all this, Benny is a good eater, he's low maintenance, and he seems in fine health. We're working on his housetraining. He's now on a good diet and is in a loving foster home. If you can open your home and heart to Benny, please email for an application. He weighs only 10 lbs.
