IRIS is a 1-1/2 yr old Pitbull/Lab mix who along with two of her puppies was caught by dog catchers and impounded at the backward and cruel kill pound in Fort Worth, TX. The pound quickly adopted her puppies but sentenced IRIS to death simply because that was easier for uncaring employees than placing her in a loving home. Thankfully, a 501(c)(3) rescue group stepped up to save IRIS, who despite being a mom, still has a lot of puppy energy of her own. In fact, her rescuers describe her as 'super fast and athletic,' 'healthy and happy' and 'loves life.' IRIS is affectionate and playful with all people, including new people and especially kids, but she continues to be untrusting of other dogs, and her behavior around cats is unknown. If you're looking for an active loving and lovable family dog, IRIS is your girl. IRIS can be easily transported to any home in the USA for the cost of her adoption fee, which also includes her vaccinations and spay.
