About Martha

We have had 2 previous OESs before Martha because we love the breed. Martha is a high energy dog, and my wife and I are approaching retirement, and she is turning out to be more than we can handle. She is approaching 70 lbs, and loves to run in the yard patrolling the area against all critters that dare to come in. She does not bark much, is very healthy, and loves to go on long walks. When company comes over, she gets very excited, but calms down quickly. My wife's elderly parents recently moved close to us, and we are a little concerned her exuberance will cause a fall. She is a lovely dog, but she is all puppy, and her excitement levels are very high. That being said, she also takes naps with me every day, and couldn't be sweeter. She is kennel trained, and does not mind being kenneled for up to 6 hours at a time. Somebody with a big yard and who likes to walk would love her.
