About Candy Mountain

Lookin' for an adventure buddy? Or perhaps a dog that will really spice up those outdoorsy photos that you make your new Facebook profile picture? My name is Candy Mountain and I'm an 6-ish year old Husky/mix and I would love to be your sidekick for all of your future expeditions* *Expeditions including, but not limited to: walks around the neighborhood, hikes, quick trips to the mailbox and back, SVASC is unsure what my life really looked like before I got to the shelter, but I definitely feel like finding you is my second chance! I am a sweet girl, but I do like to take my time warming up to new friends and sometimes, if I don't know someone, I can sometimes come across as disinterested, but it's just because I like get to know someone before I call them my best friend. Once you get to know me, I'm a gentle, loving dog, who enjoys tummy rubs and head pats; I'm pretty calm, especially for a Husky, so I really am happy to spend most of my day lounging, but am also happy to really get out and play! I previously lived with another dog and I have gotten on well with other large-sized dogs, who have good dog manners. Very bouncy, pushy dogs are not my style and I prefer to make friends with dogs that are pretty respectful. I do seem to be house-trained and I do like to keep a tidy kennel at SVASC. I also have pretty good leash manners, too. My adoption fee is $125, which covers all of my vetting.
