About Missy

This is Missy, Missy showed up in my neighborhood a few months back and was terrified of everything especially people. I believe she was dumped because she would sit at the edge of my neighbors yard and look at every car that drove by. It was heartbreaking. Missy finally has come around and allows me and a few other female neighbors to give her as much love as possible. She seems to have possibly been through some kind of abuse because she runs when people yell and clap, she also hates gunshots she will run as far as possible if she hears one go off. She is a great dog for someone who has the time to work with her on her fears and show her she is loved and safe now. She does have a food aggression with any other animal that comes near her when she's eating however if you are standing near her and tell her no when she's eating then she will not react as aggressively. She does have a thing with cats as well I'm not sure if it's aggression or just wanting to play but she has hurt 2/3 cats in the neighborhood. She would be a great dog for a female and possibly a calm kid, she plays with my cousins daughter but she has shown some tense behavior if she is startled. She can live with a male but she is very fearful of men my husband has worked with her a decent amount but she still seems terrified of him or any other man that comes around her.
