About Goose

Meet Gorgeous Goose! This handsome sweetheart is looking for a home where he can lounge, play, and be outside chasing a ball or just maxing and relaxing. Goose is a beautiful 3 year old, 40 pound border collie mix who loves training and learning new things. Bring out a treat and he will show you all the moves he's got and be ready to learn more! He is smart and active but as long as he has regular access to the outdoors and enrichment, he does not need walks as primary form of activity. He is often a bit shy meeting new people but once you play a little ball with him, he is ready for scritches! Goose would do best in a peaceful setting. Like many working dog mixes, he has incredible hearing and sight, so he can get overwhelmed in a very stimulating environment. He does have some leash reactivity but responds extremely well to training and has developed great redirection skills. With continued learning and simple decompression exercises his leash reactivity is very manageable. He also takes a daily med for anxiety. He loves playing with mellow, respectful dog friends and gets along great with small dogs especially. He has experience being around horses and chickens.
