Courtesy Posting: SWEET, STUNNING YOUNG & PETITE CHOW/SPITZ GIRL PUPPY NEEDS FOSTER HOME OR LOVING DOG SAVVY FOREVER HOME! WHO CAN HELP? LILLY Orange County, So Cal Lilly is a very sweet, friendly and happy young female chow/spitz breed mix. She resembles a shiba too, but may also have some Aussie like breed in her as well. Lilly just turned 1 year old this November and takes treats gently, gives kisses, rides well in a car, and previously lived with two children, ages 10 and up, as well as two small dogs she grew up with. Unfortunately, her owner's landlord would not allow her now that she is full grown, and we did not want her to end up at a kill shelter. We are now looking for a loving, forever and stable home, or foster is needed asap. We just arranged to have Lilly groomed, and she is even prettier than her pictures show, with a very soft, luxurious coat and extra fluffy, curly tail. She is vaccinated, went for a check up, and is scheduled to be spayed very soon. Currently, Lilly is in a temporary foster home with a dog, but needs a new home or longer foster home asap as she is too excitable around their senior cat. So far, Lilly has done well with all new people she has met, and has done fine at doggy parks in the past. She also has a calm demeanor inside the house, but she also loves to run outside in a yard and chase butterflies, and especially enjoys her twice daily walks which she needs. With the other similar size dog in the foster home, she has done well 99 percent of the time. However, we noticed some dominance issues around food, even though she did grew up with two tiny dogs without issues. We found removing food from the area when both dogs are in the same room has resolved further issues so far. Lilly will make a wonderful pet and companion since she is great with people, but extra precautions around food and other dogs should be taken. She should be walked at least two times a day since she still has puppy energy.
