About DUKE

***NEEDS FUREVER HOME*** Currently in Challis, but transport to Magic Valley/Treasure Valley is available. Meet family-friendly, farm-friendly 6 to 8-year-old, 42-lb DUKE. In the short time that our volunteers have interacted with DUKE, we have learned that he is a very sweet dog, very intelligent, and will make a good family dog. He already has a 'heel' and 'sit' command. He walks well on a leash. He is good with dogs and cats (see videos). He has been a great 'helper' dog to help socialize the scared momma and 3 puppies that were found abandoned in Rupert. (see videos) DUKE has good engagement and follows his person when off-lead. He has moderate energy. DUKE may be sensitive to touching his backend and when he needs a nail trim, he will need to be muzzled. He can be shy and skittish about being handled. DUKE would make an awesome farm dog. He would also make a good family dog that has lots of space to run.
