About Chancy

Adoption Fee: $10.00
Australian Shepherd
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

Chancy is a black / white Australian Shepard very similar to the one on the kibbles and bits dog food bag. Her previous owner was my nieces half brother who died unexpectedly. Chancy was in the house with him for 5 days before his death was discovered. I elected to take the dog as my niece could not keep her. When she arrived here a year ago she was notably frazzled and ill. A local vet treated her and she has no known health problems now. I am an 80 year old retired navy officer and retired police officer. I have severe back problems that involve my legs and I am unable to walk more than a few yards. This precludes me playing with or walking chancy. She needs more than I can give her. About chancy, call me at 337 499 7712 and I will discuss her in full, truthfully. She needs a good home. She has never tried to bite anyone for any reason since I have had her. She will bark aggressively at strangers but no biting or nipping. Especially strangers in uniforms ( postmen, fedex etc.) she gets very excited when my great grandchildren come over and runs all around chasing and playing with them. She has some bad habits like barking at people when they leave the house more than when they arrive. She can slip a collar or a halter or both in a heartbeat. I live in the country an just let her run loose and she always comes back and wants in within a few minutes. She is an inside dog and house broken. Call me if you are interested and can provide exercise and care for her.
