About CALYPSO

***NEEDS FOSTER HOME*** Currently in Boise, ID We are assisting a pet owner who is in the hospital with a cancer diagnosis and we're not sure when she will be discharged. CALYPSO is her sweet sweet 6 year old, 50-lb spayed boxer/bully breed. She is a world-class cuddler. CALYPSO LOVES sitting in laps and cuddling, and she's just as happy sitting beside you as long as she can be as close to you as she possibly can. --has a lot of energy and does best with regular exercise and play. She loves plush/squeaky toys and chews and will play tug with her people. --loves zoomies and flinging her stuffies around (see video). --does like other dogs, but she needs a slow, intentional introduction so she can feel confident. --WILL harm cats, so she can not share a space with kitties. --can be a little timid meeting new people, but once she warms up, she's full of love. --doesn't really know commands, but she takes good direction on leash, and understands to stop something when told to. --is not destructive indoors when left home for several hours. She doesn't chew on things she's not supposed to, and she is house-trained. --tends to randomly whine (not bark) when her confidence is challenged, but eye contact and rubbing her chest can put her back at ease. She sometimes panics when her backside is pushed down on to try and make her sit, so she needs a gentler approach.
