I work at a vet clinic and on my last shift a couple brought in their 8 year old spayed female pitbull to be euthanized because of a food aggression incident. They informed me that this was the only time the dog had ever shown aggressive behavior and it had occurred while they were feeding her with a younger female dog. They were unfortunately unwilling to pursue alternative solutions, so I recommended that they surrender her to me and I would try to find a shelter or rescue to help rehome her. She seems to be healthy, has a very sweet and friendly demeanor, is house trained, and was living successfully with cats, dogs, and kids. Overall she seems to be a great dog. Unfortunately I am not in a position where I can take another pet in right now so I would greatly appreciate any help I can get in finding her a new home.
