About Maggie

Rat Terrier
Age: Senior
Sex: Female

[Read About Natural Cancer Care] ** First and foremost, Maggie has been to a vet, the cancer she has is tumor form on her 'breast area' and is not terminal at this point. Maggie will take some time to earn trust. She does not like aggressive movements. She has been with us since she was a puppy. She will eventually 'cling' to her human and be very protective. She is very sweet by nature. She loves to burrow under blankets and cuddle with you, just be patient with her. She does get along with the other dogs at our home, they all grew up together, she just will step in and nip if she thinks other dogs are getting to wild. Same as with children if they are running around and jumping. In a calm environment, which she needs, she is okay, just no sudden movements and lots of patience! For her age, she gets around really well. Still very good at catching rodents. This is a very tough decision. She was left behind by my daughter when she moved out and she chose me as her human. I love this little nipper very much, but I will be leaving for trucking school and she needs someone or a real special couple that can take care of her medical needs and be there for her for the rest of her life. She is very healthy other than the two tumors that she has. One near her front leg on a tit, and the other is on a back tit. They are removable and she is healthy enough for surgery, I just cannot afford it. The tumors haven't been bothering her, she gets along just fine, especially when she's in 'queen mode' bossing the other dogs around. I love my little 'gobblin' and she deserves to end out her golden years stress-free and well-loved. She has a lot of active years left in this stubborn little lady! She also has a grandson I will be re-homing named Barker. He is half Puggle. They get along really well, he is her protector, but for them to be together, he will need to be neutered. I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to have someone very special take care of Maggie 'Moo-Moo'. Please help her out and no- she won't be easy at first, but I have no choice. Don't judge, just love her for me. Please.
