This has not been an easy or light decision for us and its something I thought I'd never have to share. After some serious consideration and some unfortunate behavioral instances, we have to rehome Cayde, our 10-month deaf male, Austrian Cattle Dog mix. We both knew the amount of time, dedication and patience, this breed would need. When we first got Cayde it wasn't until afterwards we realized he was hearing impaired. This didn't change our love and dedication to him, we found ways to work with him as a deaf dog using hand signals and a buzz collar. Over the last two months Caydes behavior towards his sister, a litter mate, has become increasingly assertive, strongly dominant, and unpredictable. We've met with a behavioral and trainers and they have all recommended that he be rehomed for his well-being and for our safety. With that said, he is an amazing dog, very attentive, loyal, and high intelligence. He would be someone's best companion in a home with no other dogs, and no small children. If you or someone you know is looking to fill a spot within their home, please let us know. Please feel free to PM me with questions
