A 50 pound, 1-1/2 yr-old Pitbull/Black Lab-mix named BELLA was rescued in a nick of time from the cruel kill pound in New York City where she was sentenced to death for no reason, only to end up in a prolonged boarding situation after her supposed adopter bailed before even meeting the lovable pup. A volunteer at the boarding facility quickly fell in love with BELLA and gave her lots of extra attention and enrichment, so even long hours spent in a kennel has not dampened her cheerful and exuberant spirit. And with the help of that volunteer and a generous sponsor, BELLA was placed in a month long training program where she has excelled, learning to respond to commands and how to walk gently on leash. BELLA is an affectionate, energetic and playful pup who would thrive in a home with kids to run and play with in a backyard, but she'll love cuddling with the family on the couch just as much! BELLA is still somewhat untrusting of other dogs and is untested around cats, so BELLA would probably do best as your one and only girl. BELLA is spayed, up-to-date on all shots and in perfect health. Adoption fee waived!
