About Caedus

Caedus (KAY-DUS) was born in the shelter on June 29, 2020 and has been in his current home since eight weeks old. He graduated puppy training and knows basic commands like sit, wait, down, shake...DNA shows him to be mostly Staffy/Neo Mastiff mix; he's such a beautiful dog always turning heads, he's also a big boy weighing in at about 90#. Caedus has never mastered leash training and has developed a bit of leash reactivity around other dogs as he got older. In Feb 2023 he completed a six week training course called Chaotic K-9 to help redirection and working on those skills. We also believe he has a bit of anxiety and some of his actions are due to this however he does not have seperation anxiety and is often left free roaming alone in the house with no issues. For 2.5 years he has lived peacefully with a little and big dog however in the past few months he's developed some behaviour that makes his current home feel that he should be in a home with no other dogs. This could be due to the size difference and the age difference (the other is a senior) but with an approved app we can go into more details. Caedus is a lover of people and would love nothing more than to be a lap dog, he snuggles and cuddles and is a pro at snoring the afternoon away. He has not been around young children, toddlers or cats. His ideal home would be: *only dog with fully fenced and secure yard *no kids under 12 years old *no cats *family willing to keep up with training Caedus is up to date on all his vaccinations, is neutered and microchipped and has recently (July) had a full dental. In July he also had ACL repair surgery which is healed with no long last issues other than needing joint vitamins. Caedus is a very loved member of the family and this decision to find a new home is not made lightly; the family would like nothing more than to see Caedus succeed in life and at this time his current situation is not ideal for his success. Caedus is living in Tumwater, WA and can be met with an approved app. His adoption fee is $250 which will go directly to the rescue to help save more lives.
