Dewayne has been overlooked for months due to jumping so high on his kennel and for being mouthy (not aggressive at all, he just doesn't know how to get your attention and express his happiness when you take him out of the kennel). Unfortunately he lived a life on the outdoors, in the wild so he was never taught any manners or how to be a domesticated dog. But on the 'bright side' the long months that he's spending at the shelter volunteers are working with him and he has shown a very high interest in learning! He is very smart, food motivated and this boy LOVES a toy! He has a lot of energy as he is still a puppy himself so he would thrive in an active home, with structure and routine. A dog sibling would be a good partner to play catch around the yard. Dewayne is a GREAT dog, loving, friendly and happiest as can be!
