About Mango

Mango came to our family neglected and malnourished. I have done everything in my power to help this little sweet 4lb boy, but unfortunately, he is starting to bankrupt me and causing issues with my other animals, not in a violent or aggressive way, but in the way that I have to make different accommodations for him around my other animals, dog and cat. He has serious trust issues but most of all he has major allergy issues. We see the vet about every two weeks for an allergy shot and usually some kind of pills to help is constant yest on his skin. We have been changing foods, but he is very persistent about getting into everything but his own food. We have concluded so far that he is allergic to polyester and has a protein sensitivity, which requires a special food only acquired with a vet. When he only eats his own food, his flairs are not as substantial. He plays fine with my bigger dog, 60 lbs, but doesn't like dogs he does not know. He honestly doesn't pay any mind to the cat. I believe he would do much better in a single animal home with no access to another food, I want him to have a loving home where he can actually enjoy his life and not be under a constant allergy attack, but under my house with my other animals it just doesn't seem feasible. He is the sweetest boy when he's feeling well, he cuddles well, loves tug-a-war and fetch and he's house trained. Though he has a short hold time, if left for a long period of time, he will have an accident. I listed human compatibility as unknow because it's seriously 100% up to him if he gives you an attention at all. He has nipped at one of my friends before, but for the most part he runs and hides from everything. Thank you for taking the time to read about my little boy, I just want better for him and someone who is going to have the time and attention for him. I am not in a rush to rehome; I will wait around till I feel I found a substantial home for him.
