About Patches

Adoption Fee: $75
Pit Bull mix
Age: Senior
Sex: Female

Patches is an approximately 10 yr old pit mix. We pulled her from a situation last March where the sheriffs office was involved for neglect. We put her through heartworm treatments where she is now heartworm negative, got her UTD on vaccinations, nursed her skin back from a nasty yeast infection & got rid of her severe flea infestation which she unfortunately has flea dermatitis from now and is missing hair on her back that will not grow back. With her previous owner she was tied to a tree outside with other cats and dogs. She hasn't been around cats since so we are not sure of her comparability with them and she has been around small and large dogs but needs a slow introduction. She is a sweetheart, low energy and cuddly. We are working on getting her completely UTD with her rabies and heartworm test October 8th. She is showing signs of aggression towards my 1 year old son which is why I put that she should be with adults or older children. I'm not comfortable with her being in our home anymore and unable to give her a fulfilling life as we lost everything in hurricane Ian and still haven't rebuilt our lives. We are currently renting our home and the landlords are not pleased with us having a dog and would like us to give the dog a new home. All the rescues and shelters in the area are full and we would love her to go to a home where she can live out her days surrounded by love and good quality care. She's so lovable and she has so much love to give regardless of what she's been through and we want her to find someone who can give her all she needs and more.
