About Eclaire`

Adoption Fee: $500
Poodle
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

This lovely lady was left with me by someone claiming they only needed me to take care of her for a short while, and never reached out again. She is incredibly friendly, energetic, gets along great with my other large dog (my little dog gets a bit irritated by her, the cat just ignores her entirely) and has been very friendly with everyone. She was skinny, sick, infested with fleas and ticks and in awful shape when she first came to me, and had to go to the vet for treatment for a GI infection that she is now recovered from. Adoption fee is to cover veterinary costs. I have not had her spayed yet but that is in the works, as I do not want her to end up being a breeding dog in someone's backyard or mill. In your email, please tell me about your home, any other pets you have, what your activity levels are like, if you have kids or frequently host them, if anyone in the house smokes or drinks (this does include recreational weed use) and anything like that, what your experience with animals - particularly of this breed - is like, and what kind of training knowledge and time you have to spend working with her. She is very sweet, but VERY energetic. If you have clearly not read this, I will not respond to your inquiry. The vet estimated her at right about one year old. She is largely in good health, the only issue I have been continuing to get her tested for is ongoing diarrhea. She eats and drinks just fine. She is very good about staying in the shower when getting a bath and is not afraid of electric clippers or the blow dryer. She likes playing tug-of-war with other dogs. Many toys have met an untimely end. Still working on reliable housebreaking. She's mostly good with it, but has an accident still once in a while. She loves yogurt/cottage cheese/blueberry frozen treats. She is a very active player with other dogs - she may be a bit much for little dogs, but for dogs around her same size she seems to do just fine. She does like to sleep in bed with you if you let her, but she does well in a crate too. She hasn't shown any aggression towards cats , though she does show interest if they run away from her or otherwise grab her attention. She has a very bouncy prancing walk and doesn't pull much on the leash, a small tug is enough to get her attention back to you. I think she'd make a great service dog prospect with how fast a learner she is. SHE IS NOT FOR BREEDING. PERIOD.
