About Clay

Clay's a very good boy�'�|with just a touch of awkwardness to make him more interesting and funny! He greets people in a very sweet and loving manner, and he always backs up to give them plenty of space to enter his kennel. When you put a leash on him this dorky boy freezes for a second, but before you know it he'll be trotting along by your side, excited to go on an adventure! He's a curious boy, so he does tend to zig and zag so he can investigate more stuff. After letting go of some zoomies in the play yard he has an average energy level. He's perfectly happy to make his own fun by sniffing around. While independent, he also enjoys being pet. His dorky side comes out again when you're petting him though: he tends to freeze, which makes you think he's uncomfortable so you stop. But then he comes closer and licks you like 'Why'd you stop?' The little jokester! He just enjoys being silly and different. He also love seating treats, and he takes them gently from your hand. Clay is a 2 1/2 year old Lab who came into the shelter as a stray on 5/11/23. He weighs 43 lbs.
