PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE BIO ON THIS DOG BEFORE REQUESTING AN APPLICATION. MANY OF OUR DOGS HAVE STRICT REQUIREMENTS FOR THEIR ADOPTION. 1. Kids aged 8 and above. 2. He'd do best with a fenced yard. 1 year old male Terripoo, about 8 pounds. Herbie is an affectionate, playful poodle mix. He's not totally quiet and has a bit of energy, so a home with a fenced yard is preferred. He has easy coat care and minimal shedding. Herbie loves to go on walks and see what's out in the world. He's not great on the leash as he gets too excited sometimes. He plays well with other dogs, not too dominant or submissive, but he still does a lot of puppy wrestling in his play. He seems to like to play with dogs that are bigger than him, more so than his own size. He'd do fine with another even-tempered dog to play with, or on his own as long as an owner keeps him walked and interested in toys. He probably would do best with children over 8. Cats are unknown and would need to be tested. He's not a couch potato but is good at napping and resting in his kennel. His odd quirk is that he likes to poop on vertical surfaces. Herbie is a very happy, loving dog who is looking for his family. Adoption contract and fee applies. All adoptable dogs can be met at adoption events hosted every weekend. All dogs are fostered throughout the Puget Sound area and are brought to the events where they can be met by prospective adopters. Puppies are adopted with a refundable spay/neuter deposit (in addition to the adoption fee) and adopters are required to get their puppy to our vet for their pre-scheduled spay-neuter appointments. You must live within a three-hour radius of Seattle, WA, (such as Portland, Vancouver B.C., etc.), so we can arrange for a home visit. If your home seems like a great fit for the dog you would like to adopt, you must then drive to meet the dog at one of our weekend events or at the fosters home.
