About Rachel the Standard Po

Poodle
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

ARRIVING IN WI on Saturday October 7th- WE RESPOND FIRST TO THOSE WHO STATE THAT THEY HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND PRICING AND DELIVERY BELOW. Thank you!! Rachel is a beautiful 1 year old black female Standard Poodle who weighs about 50 pounds. Rachel is a total sweetheart and once she knows she is safe she is the biggest joy to have in your life, however we anticipate Rachel will be very shy and nervous when she arrives to her forever home, as she was quite shy and nervous when she first arrived in our rescue/her foster home. She will warm up quickly and is just the perfect girl after she feels safe. Rachel is potty trained, leash trained, crate trained and does well in the house! Rachel walks beautifully on a leash with no pulling or hesitation with her foster mom, but gives the vet staff and other visitors a harder time because the new people make her a little nervous. Rachel is working on her recall, and is very treat motivated and will continue to improve in this area with further training. Because her recall isn't perfect, Rachel should have a home with a fenced yard to keep her safe if she is off leash. She has been fantastic with her 8 dog foster brothers and sisters! She gets along wonderfully with all of the dogs as they eat, play and relax. Rachel LOVES the water! She will paw, lay and play in the water. A pool, pond or lake would be great for her. She loves to lay and snuggle with her favorite people on the couch and in bed. She is a great companion. Rachel is still a puppy, and therefore learning all of her manners. She sometimes will jump up very gently. And she likes to counter surf sometimes. She is learning quickly and immediately pays when corrected. Rachel is spayed, tested heartworm negative, is up to date on vaccines, dewormed and microchipped, and she comes with her medical records and interstate health certificate from a veterinary examination prior to leaving Texas, which certifies her to be in good condition. Rachel is one of a select few of our rescues whom we believe are purebred or a popular designer blend which we adopt out at a near market rate in order to use those funds to finance our program of readying additional dogs, puppies and kittens which we prepare, transport and adopt out in the northern United States. Our goal is to get as many homeless animals out of south Texas, where we have a severe pet overpopulation crisis. She will be arriving in Muskego, WI on Saturday October 7th, and will be available for to meet/take home between noon and 5 pm by the first family to have placed an exclusive hold deposit as set out below. Her adoption fee is $1,000, which will be used to support the many animals in our care whose medical bills far surpass their much lower adoption fee. She is available for an exclusive hold with a deposit of $500, which we give on a first come, first served, basis. The balance of the adoption fee is due upon pick up. Should you find that she is not a good fit for your family upon meeting, the deposit is refundable.
