About Grayse aka Daisi

Her owner has undergone some medical challenges no longer able to exercise Grayse and his inability to navigate physically has been a detriment to Grayse's desire to go on walks leaves her adopter realizing she now needs more. She is currently in the Camarillo area and will be coming back to us soon. The bio below was her original background. We will add more updates as owner fills us in on her last two years of habits. Daisi and Diego have lived with each other for the first two years of their life. Family comes and goes and they're barely looked at in the backyard of their home. The owner is now older and unable to provide basic needs for the pair and they need to get into a new home at their young age of just over 2 years old. These two are littermates but do not need to be rehomed together. Daisi and Diego are both current on vaccines, altered and have their natural undocked tails. They are both in early stages of training and manners. They will need a good strong Weimaraner home to get them trained and to flourish and thrive. Both love children and are great around people. They have lived with a small dog but likely have never seen a cat. They LOVE the feel of grass under their paws. We suspect they don't have any in their past backyard. Both Diego and Daisi are young, energetic and willing to learn. Both are a bit overweight from lack of care and exercise. They NEED you! Let's get them into a great home. Notes from Owner: Yes, I'm still in Camarillo but will be moving in January, which is another reason I've decided to rehome Grayse. I retired last year and will be moving to Torrance to take care of my aging mother and her place does not have the space or amenities that Grayse has enjoyed in Camarillo. Grayse has been a great dog: there is a large park a block away where I take her 2-3 times a day: I am able to take her off leash when there are no other dogs close by. There is also a river bed and hiking trails in the hills close by where she is able to run off leash. She's very good about keeping track of where I am and returning to me when I call her. Her only 'tricks' are to shake hands and to stay until called (while I walk away-up to 30-40 yards). She does not bark much, except when strangers come to the door. She is crate trained and sleeps there at night and naps there during the day. She enjoys playing with other dogs although she will get her hackles up and growl when another dog acts with hostility. She is friendly toward strangers and people often remark on how sweet she is.
