About CHAMP

Handsome Champ (3 yrs old, 56lb) needs a new home as soon as possible!! He was adopted by an amazing man, but has not been getting along with the other dogs and cats in the home. He needs to be an only dog, who maybe has doggy friends outside of the home, but he doesn't like to share food or human affection with other animals. Champ came to the shelter as a stray on 9/6. He happily greeted the Animal Control Officer who picked him up, but once loaded onto the truck, he began shaking out of fear. Champ was very afraid in the shelter environment. When he was taken out to the play yard, he walked with his tail tucked and was lip licking. He was shaking slightly according to the handler. When the handler gave him a pet, he leaned in and was comforted by her touch. This sweet boy doesn't react around other dogs at the shelter and walks well on a leash. I personally met him and drove him to the adopter at a park, and champ was very loving and happy and fell asleep on the drive. Such a sweet dog!!!!
