About Rex aka Thumper

Thumper (aka Rex) came to us as part of a family group of 4. He had a bit of a hard time settling into his first foster because he did not seem to be a fan of men but as he has settled he is doing much better. He is a sweet loving boy once he trusts you and when he is treated with kindness. He loves other dogs and has had no issue whatsoever getting along especially with those his size and smaller. He has a birth defect and his front paws are much shorter than average....so he mostly walks on his back legs. We considered a front end cart but he was not very cooperative and it seemed that he would not adjust well to it. He has amazing agility and can climb the stairs and jump on the couch....don't tell this boy he is disabled! He will need a special adopter who gives him time and appreciates his specialness. He is housebroken and will go out on his own or let his foster mom when he needs to go. This little guy just wants someone to love him as much as he will love them and his foster mom shares that he is such a cool little dog. He is estimated 2-3 years old and is around 15#.
