About Rocky

To help us make a great fit for you, and any of our dogs as well, please include information about yourself(Home, family, yard/fence, work hours, other pets...) and/or use our application at sparrowdogs.com. Those emails will get the quickest response, we do the best we can, but if we have to follow up with an email asking you about yourself and waiting for a response, well, we have already moved on to the next email that has provided the details. We are doing the best we can to find the right home for each dog or cat, just need your help too! :) Oh my, sweet Rocky boy!! He had an incredibly loving home. He lived with Mom and Dad, and two kids. They did simply adore him, but at times he was a bit too rambunctious for the little friends that came over. Also, the family had some other concerns going on that had nothing to do with Rocky, but they thought it was best to find somewhere for Ricky to go where he would be able to find just the right home for him. We stepped in, and we are so happy to help Rocky on his journey for his happily ever after!! Rocky turned a year old on July 31st, 2023, so he is very much still a puppy. You know those doodles, they do enjoy their puppyhood for as long as they can, lol! Rocky's family has been awesome. When he was having some issues(jumping, mouthiness, barking at other dogs and people on walks...) they hired a trainer. Happy to say she was wonderful and helped the family greatly. We have her training notes to pass on to his new family, and also her contact info in the event they would like to continue with his training. But, for now Rocky is doing nothing short of AMAZING in his foster home. We have several other dogs of all shapes and sizes. Rocky is so gentle with everyone, he is the life of the party and loves to lead the game of chase thru the yard. Right now his best pal is Katy, she is an 8 pounds Shipoo. They are quite the pair, lol. Rocky is such a sweet, peaceful, loving and smart boy. He is totally housebroken, doesn't chew, is incredibly well mannered, and seems to love everyone. Rocky will sleep in a crate at night, he loves his toys and will have a couple in his crate with him. HE doesn't really need a crate, it just seems to be his chill zone. Rocky is very adoptable, but we are looking for a home for his specific needs, as we see it anyway! We think he will be happiest with another lovable and oh so playful dog. We will be looking for a dog savvy home that will be assertive, the pack leader as Cesar Milan would say! And it is true, you set the rules, the expectations and the rest will come so much easier. The Doodles can be a handful if they think they can get away with it, such characters. An active lifestyle will channel all that energy and charisma, lol! A top priority is a home with a fenced yard, and a schedule that will not leave the dogs alone for long hours. Rocky is one awesome boy, he would love to join someone on their own exciting journey, camping, hiking, exploring, new things to explore!! He will go home with a ton of supplies to settle into his new home. His family has sent his toys, crate, bedding, harness, leashes...and of course he is fully vetted. His adoption fee is $450.
