About Russ

Russ is a 5 month old (born April 5), 4.5 pound Pomeranian LOCATION: Pensacola, FL NEEDS: Fenced yard and playmate preferred HIGHLIGHTS: Great things come in small packages!!! Oh my goodness, this baby is C U T E! He came to us as an owner surrender. We had to make this sweet boy one of our special Angel Dogs,and his Angel Fee was already sponsored! Russ is a force to be reckoned with. He is a pup on a mission! He is very active and likes to run at lightening speed to greet everyone he encounters. He seems to always be on the lookout for the next adventure. Russ is friendly and thinks everyone has been put on this Earth to give him attention. He will stand on his hind legs and paw at you and kiss you as much as you will allow. He will circle a room until he finds a lap to accommodate him, and he will snuggle with that lucky person and lie on their chest or lap. He is a happy boy whose curled up tail is frequently wagging. Russ may be small, but he's mighty! If he growls while eating the other pups and dogs take note and give him some space. He is good with other dogs though and would enjoy having another dog to play with. In his foster home he is the one who initiates play fighting! He has not been around cats. Due to his tiny size young children are not be a good fit for him. Even though he is feisty he has tiny fragile bones. He should be ok with older kids. Russ's potty training is a work in progress, remember he is a puppy so he needs training and positive reinforcement and a good routine. He decided he doesn't like to be walked (and doesn't potty while on the leash). He will take a couple of steps and then would like you to carry him for the rest of the walk! At night, Russ sleeps in a puppy pen. His foster mom tried to have him sleep in the big bed, but he was too restless and wouldn't sleep. Russ has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, fecal tested and wormed, and microchipped with a lifetime registration that we maintain. His neuter is scheduled at one of our vet soon and is covered by the rescue. He is a very cute and lively little fellow who's guaranteed to put a smile on your face! *We are located in Pensacola Florida. Puppies, dogs with pending vet appointments, and dogs with behavioral issues are only adoptable within a 1 hour drive to Pensacola. Most others we will consider within a 5-hour drive. We do not ship or transport our dogs. *We are a foster-based rescue and do not have a facility. Our dogs live in private homes in and around the Pensacola area until they are adopted. *We review multiple applications for each dog and pick the best fit. We are not always able to respond to every application.
