Kona is a 6yo female (born July 2017) 80lb Great Pyrenees / Siberian Husky mix. She is fully vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, with no specific health concerns. I adopted her from a shelter when she was 1.5yo, and she's been by my side ever since. She is incredibly sweet, hardly barks, and walks well on a leash without pulling (unless there's a squirrel). She knows simple commands like sit stay and come, and even shake hands. She'll fetch a ball (or toss it to herself), go camping, swim in the lake, sleep on the couch, and enjoy being in the presence of her family unit. She is a gentle giant who is always friendly to other humans. I am looking to rehome her because she has proven incompatible with my partner's pet, who is a medium-sized dog, though Kona gets along with most other dogs just fine. She would do best with a family without other pets/animals (or small children, just because of her size). Additionally, her breed makes it very difficult to be reliably off-leash, so she would need a fully fenced (6ft) property to safely roam without escaping, but otherwise loves leashed walks. I feel like she can be the perfect companion for the right family, and I want to do my best to find her a home where she can be truly happy.
